Microsoft Revamps Music Service Groove

Microsoft to reign over the music industry with Groove.

Microsoft Corporation is trying its best to offer the best services where they are working really hard to offer the best product offerings. They are extremely diligent and are devising ways to attract consumers. The company at this point of time understands that the market for music streaming services is extremely competitive thus they are trying its best to make a sound mark. Initially it was said that the company made its debut by launching Zune music streaming which is now turned down by MSFT. So now to compete with industry giants like Apple’s music streaming service known as Apple Music and Spotify they are all set to launch Groove Music. As per the early signs, Groove Music service has been successful in gaining its ground when compared to the more dominant players in the music streaming business. This can be judged since the service can support the Sonos speakers along with the embedded support for iHeartRadio that shows that the company is making successful efforts to make a mark. So initially Zune was not a part of popular music streaming service ever thus Groove at least has established itself as the upcoming competitor. So now with the launch of this service in Microsoft users can have a music streaming service which they can call as their own whereas the company stands a chance to fight and establish itself. So all it needs to do is improve its service to actually fulfill its promise. The company has now introduced a unique feature which is gapless audio playback. So the audio player now has the ability to jump on the next track immediately without pausing. This feature is available in the current version of Groove that is 3.6.1352. So all those who wish to listen to music without any hindrance and love their current playlist would certainly enjoy interruption free experiences. For all those who are using the contemporary version of Groove dealt with a good amount of time interruption when each song ended. So now, all Groove users can embrace the change with the recent update. It needs to be noted here that these features are only available for Microsoft Windows 10 only and are also not available for Windows 8.1 until any notification is made in this regard by the company. Microsoft at this point is multitasking in a good way to engage consumer and establish its niche once again. If they get successful then nothing can stop them from reigning over the industry.

Apple Seems To Be More Dependent On iPhone Sales Than On Anything Else

The tech company has come out to be more dependent on the sales of iPhone's than of any other gadget which has surprised the analysts.

Apple Inc is all set to make some massive releases in the coming month and the industry cannot seem to stop talking about all the new updates and gadget the software firm could be preparing to launch. For the past couple of weeks, the firm seems to be in the news continuously for first launching a smart Apple watch amidst criticism and encouragement from analysts and then the much talked about Apple Music service which also managed to attract a lot of attention through the celebrities and music artists who have signed up to put up their music on the app.

Apple is reportedly planning to launch a newer version of Apple TV as well but analysts believe that even though so many updates and new gadgets are up in line, it will turn out to be surprising that the Californian Company seems to be dependent more on the iPhone sales than on sales of any other gadget being sold by the giant. The tech company is also rumored to be building up an electric vehicle but the equity firms still think that the dominance of iPhone's in the firm is a little too hard to ignore and overcome. The dependency of the Mac makers on the smart phone is a little surprising for the analysts, given how there are so many new projects in line which could end up returning a huge amount of revenue too.

The fact that Apple business has received a colossal boost since the first time it launched the iPhones cannot be overlooked. The iPod makers have been making computers, laptops and music players too but the revenue it has received from the smart phones is more than that coming from all the gadgets combined. This is one of the major reasons why the tech firm cannot depend on any other gadget as much as it can depend on the phones. However, analysts believe that if the firm is introducing new projects and gadgets in the market, it should look towards monetizing those products as well and not just focus entirely on the iPhone's.

As per the reports, Apple management is all set to hold an event on September 9, which is also one of the most talked about event of the year. The CEO of the firm will be announcing new updates for many of its gadget and the most anticipated one seems to be the release of iPhone 6s, which is rumored to be taking place on the same day.

Apple Music Likely To Face Competition And Criticism

Apple Music has to deal with rivalry, criticism and competition before its launch.

Apple Inc.’s annual World Wide Developers Conference for the year 2015 took place earlier this month. The highlight of the show were the launch of its much awaited online music streaming service Apple Music along with the launch of their upcoming operating system for Apple products.

The WWDC broadcasted Apple Music to a great extent. The idea behind this service is to bring users and music streaming under one consolidated umbrella. It is said that this service will be a direct competitor to Tidal and Spotify where the former holds almost 49 percent of the total market share. The Swedish platform has a strong position and it will be relatively difficult for Apple Music to overthrow them so easily. Spotify is not really a major threat. The service has 60 million active users among which only one-fourth of them actually pay for the service.

Apple’s entry into the online music industry is not something astonishing. The company previously acquired Beats Electronics the previous year for $3.2 billion which is said to be a record-breaking deal. Apart from that, the company has immense success with its music downloading platform iTunes.

Apple faced its first setback in FY13 since its launch which occurred 10 years back since the online music subscription trend rose by 50 percent in that tenure. So now when Apple is actually coming up with its own online music streaming service, then the impact will be observed on iTunes as the trend of digital downloads will further decline. This is quite similar to how initially Apple iPhones took over the iPods because of their mass storage capacity.

Apple Music is the first initiative by the company to enter the music streaming market so at this point users will not be comfortable in shelving out $10 monthly if they don’t know what the service actually holds for them. So the company has announced a three-month free trial to its customers so that they get the heck of it.

Recently, the company dealt with criticism when one of the renowned pop icons, Taylor Swift decided to remove her popular alum from Apple Music since the company decided not to pay artists during the free three month trial period. So Apple had to deal with criticism and eventually decided to pay artists during the free three month trial period.

Thus Apple Music does have its pros and cons but the response can only be governed once it is officially launched by the company.
