The search engine giant has recently announced to launch a new OnHub router for its users which is going to have a new look to it.
The most recent news about Google Inc is that the a new router device has been launched by the firm which has been named as the OnHub RouterGoogle. This news was confirmed in a blog post that is one of the official sources of the company and is published by Trond Wuellner, who is from Product Manager Group. Further, this router has been released after a deal that was made between the tech giant and TP-Link and it is predicted to prove as a useful solution for all kinds of internet connectivity problems that users are usually seen facing.This new machine launched by Google business has also turned out to be quite a different one than the usual routers used by the whole internet world. The traditional connection devices have now a new touch to them which shows that the software giant wishes to bring about changes in the gadget that have been much waited for. On the other hand, the router has a unique shape which is more like a cylinder than the usual rectangular box. The usual routers also have a number of tiny lights on the surface that keeps on blinking showing signs of connectivity and non-connectivity. However, the OnHub router is a little different as no lights have been provided on the new design.This new router device is going to be a little more pricey than usual and will be made available for sale in $199. The customers and users who wish to make an order before the actual release date can simply go to the Google’s website and register for a pre-order. The machine has no antennas which is something interesting as now users will want to know how the device actually catches signals. The gadget has been designed with only one big light on top of it which will show whether the device is on or not and if it is working fine.According to the same blog post, it has been stated that the design of the router has been changed in order to allow people to easily place the new gadget on their work desk or table instead of hidden corners which will help them receive the best signals ever along with zero chance of breaking or any kind of destruction.Google management has also talked about how the aesthetic sense of the users does not allow them to have a router with a lot of wires attached to it placed in a room where it is clearly visible which is why this change in the look of the device has been taken into consideration.
Google self-driven cars to soon hit the roads.
Google Inc., the search engine giant has recently launched its website that provides information on the monthly basis regarding any accident that was encountered by the autonomous cars. This is followed by the second accident that happened over the past few days. The new website showcases that the company has now developed a change of feelings. The decision was put forward during a meeting with stakeholders and co-founder Mr. Sergey Brin who believed the accidental details should not be revealed.
According to Mr. Brin, “We don't claim that the cars are going to be perfect. Our goal is to beat human drivers.” He further added, “Nothing can be a perfect vehicle. I just wanted to set that expectation." However, the reports will not comprise of information regarding human drivers as part of the rides in their vehicles.
Google mentioned that since the time the company launched its self-driving venture in FY09, these self-driving cars have dealt with 12 minor accidents that were not because of the vehicles. Google has actively answered all queries regarding its self-driven cars since there have been concerns regarding its performance.
After the reports, the stakeholders have now become a staunch advocate of covering car accidents at a stable pace. The decision to make the process effective was put forward during the annual meeting that took place in Mountain View, CA. along with these reports, the company also wishes to a draft how their autonomous cars react under certain scenarios such as controlled situation, number of vehicles on the streets and how many miles have been covered by the vehicle. Acoording to a recent report by the company published in May, Google talked about how their cars react under various circumstances. The report showed that the car has the potential to locate various objects at the same time. Moreover, it stops when any ambulance or cyclist pass by. The company’s agenda at this point of time is to I have a tough time to human drivers and prove that autonomous cars are better.
Along with several other details in the reports, the company has around 23 cars on streets near it headquarter. Among these 9 are being tested on closed tracks. These vehicles are expected to be launched soon but will only travel at a speed of 25 mph.
