Microsoft Reveals Surface Keyboard With E-Ink Touchscreen Display



Latest news for the Microsoft lovers is that it is going to launch a surface keyboard with the e-ink touchscreen display.

After a comprehensive research on Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), researchers have invented a dual screen model of the company’s tab computer line, Microsoft Surface. The company’s Applied Sciences Group, which resembles R&D department for the execution of computer interfaces, shared a video on Google’s Youtube in order to display prototype of the device that operates on an e-ink display, and includes the keyboard for tablets, known as the DisplayCover.

It is great Microsoft news for its users that the software hub is working for such attractive accessories, as its Applied Sciences team seems keen for developing advance technologies adding to its portfolio. Their new project is an improved keypad accessory that is perfect for tabs, named as DisplayCover, with respect to the rise in productivity and benefits it provides.

The improved keyboard has both the options, including old trackpad and touchpad input facility available already for wide audience. It has the ordinary QWERTY keyboard, which has horizontal long and vertical short e-ink display above. The e-ink cover works as an input method, which can operate various features, depending on what is being done on the tab.

The e-ink input is a colorless display, which is based on a touch pattern, majorly used as a “Start Menu”. Besides being used as an app launcher, it can also browse or scroll through options. It is capable of serving as a secondary display to associate more options and increased its aspects in apps.

The DisplayCover by Microsoft online offers 1280 x 305 pixel resolution. It may not offer High Definition Resolution but much defined and visible enough for the secondary display and a screen with touch input pattern. After the release of e-ink display screen, tablet market showed a rise of 8% and the reasonable display settings prevent the keyboard from burdening on the battery life of device.

Microsoft was planning further at the time it released Windows 10 with the expectation that the advanced operating system will bring together all the platforms during the practice with modern technologies, such as biometric verification methods. The operating system is efficient for biometric scanning, facial detection, and fingerprints to log in users. The app can also detect and distinguish between twins or cloned faces and recognize them effectively.

The company will offer the DisplayCover with the next Surface tablet. Perhaps then, it will acquire more consideration and acceptance from the users. Surface is not new to people, but Apple’s iPad has given a tough time to the device.
