Microsoft To Launch Its Controller USB Adapter

Microsoft is eyeing the Windows gamer by releasing a dongle for Xbox One controllers.

When it comes to PC gaming on Windows, some users are still more inclined towards the idea of playing using controllers. While the canvas is extremely broad when choosing controllers to play any game on the PC, Xbox One controllers have actually build up its image as one of the best choices available in the market. The only issue with the Xbox controller while gaming on PC is that it can be only connected through a standard micro USB. However, things are likely to change soon as Microsoft Corporation announced earlier about a wireless USB Dongle compatible with its controller that is expected to be released soon. As per the listing, the USB Wireless Adapter on Microsoft official store, the device will be launched on October 20 that will be retailed at a price of $24.99. This price tag is said to be a bit steep while considering the price of such devices as of yet. The reason is that the complete package will be extremely pricey at $85 considering that it is for a controller to be used with the PC. Apart from that, the device dongle is perfect for all those users who have more than one Xbox One controller in their possession. This will make it easier for gamers since the dongle will enable the controller on the PC without the need of physical wire that is connecting the PC and controller. So far the company is not showing any preorder option but it is expected that an option will soon make its way on the store. As per expectation, the company has already cleared that the wireless USB Adapter will be only compatible with Microsoft Windows 10 only. No other operating system will be supported as of yet. Microsoft users will not be surprised to see dongles and other unofficial drivers supporting the prior Windows versions or other operating systems. Sadly, all those who were expecting to connect their Xbox 360 controllers with the new dongle will be extremely disappointed. Since the company will not support the old device. The company at this point of time has actually taken a good step to bolster the windows Pc gaming industry however, they need to consider the pricing for the device since buying a dongle that is priced at the higher side seems like a complete wastage of money. If these users had to invest so much, why wouldn’t they actually buy a console in the first place ask many.
