IBM and Apple A Major Success Story

Enterprise app

Both the companies are doing quite well in the enterprise app business
International Business Machines Corporation and Apple Inc. are two tech giants that are reigning over the fraternity.  Both the companies have partnered for almost a year now where they have achieved several milestones. Both the companies have complied to the targets they had set earlier and have collaborately developed above 100 applications that are devoted to enhance businesses.

This was said to be a historic alliance between the two companies that took place in July, 2014. This has helped them to come up with a range of business apps that will help in improving the sales of iPhones and iPads. According to the Vice President of IBM and the Apple Partnership for IBM Global Business Service, Ms. Katharyn White claims that the apps cater to almost 65 distinct business functionalities that spans over 14 different industries such as health care, automotive and consumer discretionary.

As per a popular tech based website, TechCrunch, every application is devoted to catering to a particular purpose. Thus each is customized and built as per the requirements. The developers are working quite close to the company employees that are likely to use them in the future. This gives them more time to acquaint with the technology.  Moreover, this also results in the streamlined floe of concepts and ideas along with the barriers that the company might face in the times to come. Both the companies together are likely to come up with bigger and better solutions,. According to Ms. White, the unanimous goal of this venture is to come up with simplified workflow mechanisms.  IBM and Apple strive to come up with the oomph factor in each of their applications.

One reason why both the companies have been quite successful with this collaboration is that both of them are actually gaining the best out of each other benefits and strengths. Apple has its strength in design, concept, uniqueness and creativity. On the other hand, IBM boasts of specialized skills in productivity, organizational components and business flow. However, both the companies are contributing quite positively when it comes to app design. The developers at IBM are making use of the Apple’s Swift programming language to write the codes.

It needs to be noted that only one of the app that was released recently is actually compatible with the recent iPad Pro. Ms. White claims that soon more applications will be designed that will be targeting the financial planners, travel industry, maintenance workers along with others.
