Bidness Tech - GoPro's Executive To Head SurveyMonkey

Mr. Lurie of GoPro becomes the temporary CEO of SurveyMonkey.

The sudden demise of the chief executive officer of the SurveyMonkey, Mr. David Goldberg due to a severe head injury the previous week resulted in a massive loss for the firm. The company had been stumbling to find someone who can lead the operations of the firm. So in order to have someone that will temporarily take over the company, SurveyMonkey’s executive and Mr. Goldberg’s close friend Mr. Zander Lurie who belongs to GoPro Inc the action camera giant will fill in for him overcoming the void that has been created after his loss.

It needs to be noted here that this is a temporary hiring where the board of directors of the firm will look in for replacements.

SurveyMonkey has grown to a great extent in a fairly short span of time. being a web-based startup that is known for devising and crafting online questionnaire’s and surveys. The company has an approximate worth of $2 billion but is now encountering a major crisis.

Mr. David Goldberg was the spouse of Miss. Sheryl Sandberg who is the chief operating officer (COO) of Facebook Inc. Mr. Goldberg’s demise was rather shocking where he lost the battle of life and death at a gymnasium situated in a resort in Mexico. He fell off from his treadmill during a workout session resulting in immense blood loss.

Zander Lurie knows that Mr. Goldberg was an exceptional leader that took SurveyMonkey to new heights. He further added, “He was a strong leader who assembled an extraordinary team that is committed to fully realizing the company’s mission.”

Mr. Lurie himself is the senior vice president of GoPro, an action camera manufacturer who is also known for manufacturing camera accessories. He will be the interim chairperson of the firm and is now kept as a three-month replacement. However, Lurie will not bid farewell to GoPro and he will continue to head GoPro Media department as the vice president.

The reason why Lurie is willing to help SurveyMonkey is to continue with the company’s legacy. He is known as the “resource” for the firm and will soon be replaced with a permanent head.

“We consider this a small opportunity to demonstrate our respect,” reported Blates.

SurveyMonkey has played a major role in manipulating data and is a reliable company offering top notch services. Mr. Goldberg took the company to new heights and Mr. Lurie is expected to do the same through his sharp insight and able leadership.
